Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Your journey begins upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you are warmly welcomed and driven to Kibale Forest National Park, the “Primate Capital of the World.” Your drive will treat you to sights of rolling hills, tea plantations, and roadside vivid markets. Upon arrival, relax and settle in your lodge, perhaps putting the final touches on your excitement for tomorrow’s chimpanzee trek.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetlands Walk
After an early breakfast, proceed to the magnificent Kibale Forest for the much-adored chimpanzee trekking experience. Follow experienced guides through the forest trails, with monkeys chattering around and exotic birds calling out in the background. As soon as you come upon a troop of chimpanzees, observe them at play, grooming each other, and swinging from the trees.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
A morning drive will take you through the interesting crater lake region surrounded by rolling highlands and on into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Here, half of the world’s mountain gorillas reside. The view remains spellbinding-the sight of terraced hills, hamlets down below, and lakes shining amidst the valleys. Come evening, reach the lodge, have dinner, and rest, so you will be at your best for the ultimate wildlife experience the following day.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Gorilla trekking day is the most important day of any safari! After a briefing by the park rangers, the adventure will begin deep into Bwindi’s misty forest in search of a gorilla family. This would take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on their location. Once there, see these gentle giants in action, their soulful eyes, and the harmony of their family life-worth it, in truth, is a life-changing experience.

Day 5: Leaving for Murchison Falls National Park
In the morning and after breakfast, transmission to Uganda’s largest and oldest national park — Murchison Falls. The way leads through luscious countryside, traditional homesteads, and savannah landscapes. Enjoy a peaceful rest at your lodge as the sun sets over the Albert Nile.

Day 6: Game Drive, Boat Safari & Murchison Falls Hike – Return to Kampala
Begin with an early morning game drive on the northern plains of Murchison Falls, keeping an eye out for elephant, lion, giraffe, buffalo, leopard, and a host of antelopes. Your afternoon will be spent on a boat safari cruising along the Nile River to the base of the awesome falls — a place to spot hippos, crocodiles, and myriad water birds.
Thereafter, you will have to return to the falltop to get a stunning view of the Nile thundering through a 7-meter gorge before descending down a 43-meter fall. In the evening, set off on your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, thereby bringing to an end this beautiful 6-day Ugandan Safari.
