Detailed Itinerary for 10 Days
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Your trip begins at Kigali International Airport, where a warm welcome from your safari guide awaits you. Depending on your arrival time, you may undergo a city tour of Kigali visiting the Genocide Memorial Center, local markets, and craft centers. Dinner and overnight stay in Kigali.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Cultural Village Tour
An early breakfast and a scenic drive through the hills of Rwanda towards Musanze will take you to the Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, you will visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to observe Rwandan traditions, dance performances, and crafts production. Overnight stay close to Volcanoes National Park.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early for the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking opportunity. One will be taken into the misty jungle to search for a gorilla family after receiving a briefing from park rangers. Experiencing and witnessing these gentle giants in the great outdoors is awe-inspiring and emotional. Return to your lodge to relax.
Day 4: Drive to Uganda – Cross Country Adventure
After breakfast, pass through the Cyanika or Gatuna border into Uganda, enjoying views of hills terraced with crops, crater lakes, and rolling countryside. Arrive late in the evening at Kibale National Park. Stay overnight in a forest lodge.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park
Enter the tropical rainforest of Kibale to track chimpanzees. Watching chimps glide through the canopy, groom each other, and frolic will leave an imprint of excitement in your heart forever. Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park-General Game Drive in the Evening
