Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kidepo Valley National Park
The journey kicks off with an early morning pickup from Kampala. The travel northwards will provide you with mesmerizing views of the Ugandan countryside, passing the small towns of Lira and Kitgum alike. Picnic lunches are held en route, and the landscapes transition from lush greenery to arid plains. Reach Kidepo late in the afternoon as the golden savannas spread far and wide under the blossomed sky. After checking in, relax a bit and prepare for the great outdoors.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Kidepo Valley

Day 3: Cultural Interaction and Nature Walk
Further today, the human heritage of Kidepo. Visit a Karamojong manyatta and interact with their culture, dances, and different aspects of their life. After an included lunch, set for a guided nature walk, exploring the park barefoot with a gun-carrying ranger, feeling the wilderness beneath while tracking some animal footprints, with the open terrain offering lots of peace.

Day 4: Drive from Kidepo to Murchison Falls National Park
Today proceeds with breakfast before departure to Murchison Falls, the largest and oldest park in Uganda. The road cuts wonderful views of farms, small towns, and wildlife corridors along the way. By late afternoon, you’ll be arriving in Murchison, where you will have the very first sights of the great River Nile. Check into your lodge, then relax with the sunset over the savanna.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile
Start with a dawn game drive through Buligi Circuit as that is when the best action occurs. View lions hunting, elephants prowling, and giraffes feeding among acacia trees. Follow breakfast with a relaxing program set for an afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. The trip unveils pods of hippos, crocodiles basking on riverbanks, and a plethora of birds, including the African fish eagle. As the boat approaches the base, admire the madly thundering waterfall as the Nile bursts open through a narrow gorge.

Day 6: Top of the Falls Visit and Return to Kampala
After enjoying your breakfast, let’s make it to the Top of Murchison Falls to watch the Nile squeeze itself through the narrow 7-meter gap, only to plunge 43 meters down. Enjoy this magnificent experience and then start your journey back to Kampala, where you will arrive in the evening.
